Move That Bus or Van....

It was another emotional Friday as we gave over the keys this afternoon to Teresa and Ornesto to their new home. Sharon joined the team as they were able to get some great deals on furniture. We were able to bless them with a kitchen table, chairs, place settings, a single bed and frame and a queen size boxspring and mattress. The family had also requested food and beans and rice were purchased...enough of each to fill a garbage can full. Teresa shared with us how grateful she was to our team as the tears flowed. She spoke about seeing us all sweat so much and we laughed.

It was certainly a race to the finish line as the home was sanded and all the rooms given two coats of paint. I constructed shelves for each bedroom and Jordan and Rylan were right in the thick of it as well, sanding for as long as they could and then helping me. Stu and Stephen had fits getting the electrical to work and after smoking out a surge protector and tripping the power from the house nearby a few times, everything clicked.

We were supposed to have tomales for supper but there was a shortage so the interns and our families had to settle for street meat...bacon wrapped hot dogs and cheeseburgers which were simply amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was loaded with toppings and went down so well with coke! I have to admit I wasn't sad that they ran out...

In the evening everyone shared at the fireside about what they learned and how God touched them. A few of the ladies shared how our children's drime moved them to tears and spoke of God's anointing on them. Many spoke with incredible transparent honesty of where they were really at and how God really opened their eyes. It was a very moving evening that began and ended with worship and prayer for healing for both Karen and Victoria.

It is early Saturday morning and we will be here to get prepared for the largest group of the summer as there will be 80 people coming this afternoon. We have to move all the mattresses from our present site, 'The Second Floor' ministry center to an orphanage that is not in use and completely set it up for the week.

As Rick says... ' I YI YI !! '
