The Three Amigos!
Last night I had probably my worst nightmare ever as I woke up in a cold sweat, shaking and crying at 3:15am. Sharon heard me scream out as well and it took at least 45 minutes to finally settle down and be able to sleep again. The wierd thing about the dream is that it was completely out of the context that I am in presently. It was a dream about going tobogganing in winter and watching as one of my children flew helplessly right into open rushing water. I was frantically trying to come to their aid and was unable to save my child. Most of my dream centered around my search and coming to grips and telling my wife what happened at which point I woke up. After Sharon consoled me, I lied awake giving this whole episode over to the Lord and submitting it and myself to Him especially if this was an attack because Scripture tells us that we are to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee. I also spent time in introspection giving over any hidden affections in my life that came before Him as well...
During morning prayer we prayer over one of the pastors from New Jersey, Steve, who has been suffering from a tooth ache that turned into a pretty large infection. After prayer he went to a dentist to seek out help and the awesome thing is that is starting to drain itself much to the dentist's amazement and he is doing fine so a cool answer from the Lord.
On the site, we managed to catch up to the other teams by completing our roof and we just have sanding, painting and furnishing left...
Tonight as I was tucking Rylan in, he asked me what 'perish' means because he was reading John 3:16 on the cover of the journal that Lucie gave him for this trip.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. It lead into a neat conversation with him about what heaven will be like for those of us who believe and how it really will be an amazing place.
