Read Colossians 4:2-6
Its been said life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react or respond to it. Our attitude in life is more important than the past, present, future, education, work and so on. This same attitude must cross over to the Christian life, the importance of living out your faith passionately, to dream how they could be used to build the kingdom of God, the goal is to take advantage of the opportunities God sends our way to listen to Him, to respond and to be empowered by Him. Do we really take His promises to heart, that He will do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine, according to His power that works within us?! Ephesians 3:21
The great challenge of our faith is to go and make disciples, how are we going to do this?? By getting involved in the lives of others, coming alongside to encourage them, to foster dependence upon God and to find worth and completeness in Christ. There is a proverb that goes…If you want one year of prosperity, grow grain, if you want ten years of prosperity, grow trees, if you want one hundred years of prosperity, grow people.
Braveheart is probably the best portrayal of a life that was truly lived. Just before a number of the men who had assembled for the first onslaught with England, they were ready to compromise and leave. The message, all who live will die, but not all who have died have truly lived. His life became an inspiration for others to follow with the same reckless abandon. What do we want to be remembered for. There’s something to say about a life that is lived out passionately for and in Him. Passion is what life is all about to me, to understand that emotion fuels or puts out the fire. It provides the way for us to express the most profound dimensions of our human existence. I really believe we feel our way to God, it is out of the certainties of the heart, not the mind, that I make the leap of faith with courage. We do this by trusting Him with our lives. In our relationship with God, we experience Him by being completely abandoned for whatever He wants to do in us and through us. When we became a Christian, not everything we do will change, but it will be done differently because it is felt differently. 2 Corinthians 5:17. I can’t do anything for the long haul unless I’m passionate about it. Let’s be passionate about the Lord and our identification with Jesus SEIZE THE DAY!!
